Author's Pov:
The palace's court was deathly silent. Each and every soul was waiting for a response, holding their breath, eyes fixed on the king. Not a single soul dared speak, as if the weight of single word could crush them all.
Finally, a minister cleared his throat, breaking the suffocating quiet. “Samrat (king)… what if we attack them from behind?” he suggested cautiously, his voice trembling slightly, aware of the dangerous line he was treading.
The court fell still again.Eyes shot toward the minister, faces a mix of disbelief, fear, and anger. Whispers stirred among the attendants, but no one dared voice them aloud.
“Attacking from behind,” a deep, authoritative voice cut through the tension. All heads turned to the speaker—the prince - Rudraksh Chandravanshi ,whose presence alone commanded respect.
"Piche se waar karne vale kayar hote hai , Yudhbumi mei yud samne se hota hai, Prano ki parwaah bina kare,Yadi aap dushman ke samne jane se daar rahe hai tho aap ek kayar hai," he said directly making a eye contact with the minister.
(“Those who attack from behind are cowards. On the battlefield, fight your enemy head-on, without fear or concern for life. If you are afraid to face your enemy directly, then you are a coward)
"But,.....Yuvraj,"the minister opened his mouth to reply, but before a word could escape, the heavy doors of the court burst open. A group of palace guards stormed in, their faces pale, bodies shaking, and eyes wide with fear.
“Pranma Samrat!”( Your Majesty),
one of the guards gasped, bowing hurriedly. “The guards of Pratapgarh… they’ve kidnapped the Rajkumari… and that girl as well!”
A ripple of shock spread through the court. Even the chandeliers seemed to tremble above, their golden flames flickering as if in fear.A cold silence fell. Even the air seemed to freeze. Rudraksh’s jaw tightened; his eyes blazed with deadly intensity that the court seemed to shrink under it.
“When did this happen?” he demanded, his voice sharp, carrying the weight of both authority and personal anguish.
“Yuvraj… we… we had no knowledge until just now,” another guard stammered, his voice quivering. “Villagers from our own village informed us. We hurried immediately to report it.”
Rudraksh’s fists clenched at his sides, his cloak swirling around him as he started forward, each step echoing ominously on the marble floors.
“What were you doing all this while?” the king asked, his voice a mix of concern, anger, and disbelief.
“Samrat… we… we had no idea when this all happened,” another guard replied, bowing low, shame written across his face.
Rudraksh turned sharply, his eyes scanning the faces of the court—none could meet his gaze. Without another word, he turned and strode toward the palace gates, his boots striking the stone floor like the drumbeats of war.
“Rudraksh! Stop!” the king called after him, desperation seeping into his voice. “You cannot go alone! The enemies are dangerous—they may harm you!”
Rudraksh paused, the tension in the hall palpable. Slowly, he turned, his eyes dark with grim resolve.
"Yadi hamare parivaar par baat aaye tho hame mrityu bhi kabul hai," he said, his voice cold, unwavering, and chilling.
(“If harm comes to my family… I will accept nothing less than my death,”)
A storm of determination flashed across his face. Without waiting for another word, he strode out of the hall, leaving behind stunned courtiers, fearful ministers, and guards who dared not to move. The doors swung open, revealing the bright morning outside, a world of danger waiting beyond the palace walls. Rudraksh walked into it like a force of nature, silent but unstoppable, the light of vengeance already coiling around him. The echo of his boots lingered long after he had vanished, a grim reminder that the hunt had begun—and that the enemy would find no mercy.
